This week it has been a pleasure to welcome Year 5 pupils from our local primary schools.
The children have had the opportunity to become a senior school pupil for a day, mix with older students and work with different teachers to experience a variety of activities using specialist facilities.
We hope we have provided a range of varied activities, with something for everyone, giving them an idea of life at Great Baddow High School.
On Thursday 27th June Great Baddow High School library held their first Spell Casters spelling competition for Year 5 pupils from local primary schools. Teams of five students represented St Michael’s Junior School, Larkrise Primary School and Beehive Lane Community Primary School.
Moving school from primary to secondary school can be a daunting for both parents and children alike but Great Baddow High School’s newly appointed prefects help deliver a well-established programme which makes that move as smooth as possible.
Prefects have welcomed Year 6 pupils on their taster day and led them in a range of activities designed to help them to feel more confident about their first days on a much larger site than they are used to.
