Contingency Date 

'The awarding bodies collectively agrees a contingency day which is scheduled at the end of the GCSE, GCE, AS and A Level  exam timetables.

The contingency day is in the event of a national or significant local disruption to exams in the United Kingdom, being part of the awarding bodies' standard contingency planning for exams .

We therefore remind candidates that they must be available until the contingency date should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.'
