Sixth Form

All students will select a minimum of subjects that allows for 540 hours of scheduled lessons during Year 12. This can be from A Level subjects, vocational subjects or a combination of both.

If a student has not obtained GCSE Maths or English at Grade 4 or above, they will be given timetabled sessions and required to resit these on the November sitting in Year 12, and if required the summer of Year 12.

Work experience is offered during a careers enhancement week in June but students can complete work experience outside of this time if there is the opportunity to do so and it will enhance their career aspirations.

Students will also be given a substantial amount of guidance on their career aspirations, including 1:1 interviews with a careers advisor, a visit of a campus and city university and alumni visits from former students to provide advice to students. There will also be a half termly focus on different careers with outside speakers.
