Open Evening
The Great Baddow High School Annual Open Evening for prospective students and parents will take place on Tuesday 23rd September 2025.
Headteacher Presentations take place at: 5.30 p.m. | 6.30 p.m. | 7.15 p.m.
Student Guides will be available throughout the evening to show you around our school and talk to you about life at GBHS. A map of the school will be available to view on 23rd September.

Please note that applications for secondary school places must be submitted by 31st October 2025.

It is the responsibility of parents to make an application for their child’s secondary school place via the Essex County Council application process. It is not necessary to wait to receive an application form or a letter before you apply.
School Tours (for Year 6 Students and their Parents only)
Following Open Evening, we will be offering daytime tours of the school for Year 6 students and their parents who are considering Great Baddow High School for September 2026 entrance and were unable to visit our school on Open Evening.

Sport Selection Scheme
Entry under the Sports Selection Scheme in September 2026 is available for students who do not meet criteria 1, 2 or 3 in our Admissions Policy.
If your child does not have a sibling already at Great Baddow High School, you can apply for admission through the Sports Selection Scheme, with up to 10% of Year 7 students selected for places on the basis of their aptitude for sport.
