Open Evening

Great Baddow High School Annual Open Evening

It is with regret that we will be unable to offer our Annual Open Evening this autumn, however we are currently preparing a Virtual Tour that will be available on our website for you to see our school in action. Watch this space for more information.

School Tours

From Thursday 10th September 2020 we are offering school tours every Tuesday and Thursday until half term to parents and students looking at Great Baddow High School for their child for September 2021.

Parents will need to book in advance and numbers are limited to two family members per household (either one adult and one child or two adults). We cannot accommodate small children accompanying the tour who are not Year 6.

Parents will need to arrive between 9.20 and 9.30 and sign in at reception (please note that there is no parking on site). Tours will be approximately one hour and will be followed by a talk from the Headteacher with an opportunity to ask questions.

All adults will be required to wear a face mask on site and when moving around the school.

Please telephone 01245 265821 to book your school tour.

We hope to meet you and your son/daughter on a tour of the school. Please be assured that we will do all we can to ensure that they have the opportunity to see the school and hear about our vision, ethos and learning at GBHS.

Sport Selection Scheme

If your child does not have a sibling already at Great Baddow High School, you do not live or attend a school within our priority admission area, or attend Barnes Farm, Chancellor Park and St. Andrew’s Hatfield Peverel, you may like to consider applying for admission through the Sports Selection Scheme.

Up to 10% of Year 7 students will be selected for places at Great Baddow High School on the basis of aptitude for sport.

There is a link on our website for the Supplementary Information Form (SIF) to complete and submit to Great Baddow High School by NO LATER THAN Friday 2nd October 2020.

The selection day will take place on: Saturday 10th October 2020 (09:00 to 15:00)
