House System

At Great Baddow High School, all students are divided by Tutor Group into our three Houses: Attenborough House (A1, A2, A3), Ennis-Hill House (E1, E2, E3) and Hawking House (H1, H2, H3). This is automatically decided for students during their initial enrolment and their House stays the same throughout their time at Great Baddow High School.

The three houses are in friendly competition with each other via House Competitions,

The three House Ambassadors were recommended and voted for by the students of Great Baddow High School in the 2018/19 academic year. Our students decided on their House Ambassadors based on their positive influence on society; their personal life achievements; and their values and qualities that make them exceptional role-models for our students.

Each academic year the House System broadens the extra-curricular experience of our students and encourages students to engage in friendly competition in a positive manner. The House System and its competitions allow students and to undertake tasks relating to sport, culture and science beyond the classroom; foster a cohesive environment and sense of community within our school; and focus on the values that make our students well-rounded individuals that positively impact society.
