The Governing Body is currently considering selling one of our smaller, very rarely used fields to raise funds to build a new science block and full- sized astroturf pitch.
We believe that the sale of this land will enable us to build an excellent science facility whilst improving the important outdoor sports space by providing an all-weather facility for year round use, benefitting our own students and members of the community.

Great Baddow High School’s ability to ensure high level sport coupled with high levels of participation has been recognised by achieving Gold Mark status for two consecutive years.
Awarded by Youth Sports Trust, Great Baddow High School is the only secondary school in Chelmsford to have achieved this level, with the school demonstrating that it meets the challenging criteria of high levels of participation for students of all abilities.
On Thursday 13th July 2017 Great Baddow High School hosted ‘Thinkers in Education’, a group who lead competitive science activities to challenge and inspire students.
The activity for the day was ELISA testing, which is a scientific method used for detecting diseases. Our most able year 8 scientists and year 5 students from local primary schools took part throughout the day.
Great Baddow High School celebrated at their Key Stage Three Awards Evening, providing an important opportunity for students to appreciate their own and others’ academic excellence and support a culture where achievement is recognized, valued and celebrated.
As the school year comes to a close, over 110 top attaining students, along with their proud parents and family, celebrated what they have achieved over this academic year, with prizes for the highest attainers and greatest level of progress in each subject.
