Important Information for Parents

Monday 2nd of March is National Offer Day for Secondary school placements. You will be notified by your local authority which school your child has been allocated. We appreciate that this can be a very anxious time for children and their parents, particularly if you do not receive your first-choice school. We would therefore like to draw your attention to the following information:

If you have been offered a place at GBHS - we will email you in the coming days to confirm the offer. Please check your spam folder if you cannot see this in your inbox. The email will be sent to the email address that was used when you submitted your application to Essex County Council. Please refer to the instructions in the email as to how to accept the offer.

If you have not received an offer of a place at GBHS - you will automatically be added to the waiting list if GBHS was ranked higher on your application than the school you have been allocated. Waiting lists positions will be made available towards the end of March and until that time we will be unable to provide information on your waiting list ranking.
