On Tuesday 18th January the PE department took fifty girls to watch the Netball Quad Series at the Copper Box. The girls had the opportunity to watch the best netball players in the world from England, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. It was an incredible experience and they witnessed one of the closest contested games between England Roses and Australian Diamonds which resulted in a 48 all draw at full time. It was a pleasure to be organising trips again and all the girls had a fabulous time.

The netball trip was really good since it gave all the netballers in school to get to know each other and share thoughts about the sport we love. It was really amazing as well in the match Australia vs England, how England drew in the last few seconds, I learnt a lot and the play was amazing it really opened my eyes to the netball future.” Emily D - Year 7

“Watching England v Australia at the Copper Box was exciting and inspiring, as it shows how even when it seems like you are going to lose a match and you can’t bring it back, if you carry on trying hard and persevere you can overcome everything. As England were down by 6 goals coming into the last quarter and managed to bring it back and draw in the last second. My favourite player was Helen Housby, as she was persistent throughout the match and had great movement- she also kept her cool and scored the drawing goal, which was very impressive.”  Katie C - Year 11
