We are delighted to announce that GBHS will be hosting its annual Science Fair on Thursday, 23 April 2026, from 3:15pm to 4:15pm. This exciting event is open to students from all year groups and provides a fantastic opportunity for them to explore, investigate, and showcase their scientific curiosity.

This is an optional enrichment activity, designed to encourage independent learning and creativity. Students who take part will also have the chance to win prizes, and the very best entries will be selected to represent GBHS at the CSES TEXPO at the end of June.

Project Requirements

Students may choose either:

• An independent scientific investigation, or
• A research project on a topic of their choice.

All entries should clearly demonstrate the Scientific Method, including:

• A clear question
• A hypothesis
• Background research
• Experimental design or research process
• Data analysis

Participants will present their work at the Science Fair and should be ready to answer questions from the judging panel.

Encouraging Participation

If your child is interested in science or enjoys exploring how things work, we warmly encourage them to take part. The Science Fair is a fun and rewarding way to develop skills in research, experimentation, and communication.
