On Friday 16^th September fifty-four members of the Year 11 Prefect team embarked on an overnight stay to the Essex Outdoors centre in Mersea. 

Joined by Mrs Ferguson, Dr Pratt, Mr Bentley, Mr Wells, Mr Bennett and Head of Year Mr Bowers, the group undertook several different activities including climbing, zipline, caving and adventure courses. 

The most popular for a number of students proved to be the giant swing, which required two students to be pulled up with ropes by the rest of those in their group, before being released.

Despite the weather turning cold overnight, students were able to brave the conditions in tents and enjoyed both days of activities and team building exercises. 

Students were impeccably behaved throughout and it was remarked by the team at Essex Outdoors what a pleasant and polite group of young adults they were.
