On Wednesday 18^th and Thursday 19^th June, Year 8 students visited Walton-on-the-Naze. The weather was certainly on our side during the two days with beautiful clear skies. This year the tides on both mornings were on our side and we were able to explore both ends of the beach.

Across the two days, 227 students took part in fieldwork on the beaches at two different sites along this coastline. They were able to try out different geographical experiments, including measuring the angle of the beach, field sketches and wave counts.

They had a great opportunity to see first-hand the erosion, sea defences and most importantly the impact these are having on the local area.
