On Sunday Great Baddow High School competed in the Regional Round of the Floor and Vault Gymnastics Competition.

This is an extremely prestigious competition and one in which we have never won before with only the team that places 1^st going on to represent East Region in the National Finals. 

We had 3 teams entered, U14 Girls, U19 Girls and U19 Boys. This involved 15 students and all had to perform a floor routine and two vaults. All students performed exceptionally well and to an excellent standard.

The boys had a brilliant competition and finished 2nd in their age group.

Both the U14 Girls team and the U19 Girls team performed exceptionally making little mistakes only which meant for a real team performance. The students sat together supporting each other as they waited anxiously for their results and were beyond ecstatic to find out the results.

The scores were super close in both girls sections however both teams finished with a fantastic team score resulting in them coming 1^st in the Region.

This means our school will go through to the National Finals in both of the girls sections for the first time in Great Baddow gymnastics history.
