School Catering Supervisor

Required January 2020

Band 2, Point 3 Actual salary £14,932

Hours are 37 per week, Monday to Friday 7.00am – 2.30pm (term time only)

We need a committed and reliable School Catering Supervisor to support our Catering Manager in our busy school kitchen. This role will support the Manager with the line management of the catering team and the involvement in production, planning, cooking and service procedures of the kitchen.
Experience of a busy school kitchen would be an advantage and you should be able to work flexibly as part of an established team.

School Cleaning Supervisor

Required as soon as possible

Band 2, Point 3 Actual salary £9,176

Hours are 20 per week, Monday to Friday 5.30am – 7.30am or 3.30pm – 5.30pm

Working term time plus 5 weeks during school closure periods
We need a committed and reliable School Cleaning Supervisor to support our Cleaning Manager to ensure our school meets the highest standards of cleanliness. This role will support the Manager with the line management of the cleaning team and ensure that all areas are clean and clear of litter..
Experience of a busy cleaning environment would be an advantage and you should be able to work flexibly as part of an established team.

CLEANER (10 hrs per week)

Monday to Friday 5.30am – 7.30am or 3.30pm – 5.30pm

An opportunity has arisen for a school cleaner to join our busy cleaning team. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided.

CLEANING DUTIES

• Ensure all allocated areas including toilets are clean, clear of litter, graffiti.
• Follow the checklist of cleaning duties for your allocated area. 
• Report any damage to the Cleaning Supervisor / Caretakers.
• Pick up and report any rooms/areas not cleaned the previous evening/morning.
• Spot clean graffiti in corridors.
• Ensure corridors are clear of litter.
• Clean Windows/showcases as required.

In addition:
to attend any training activities and/or meetings as required; and abiding by all COSHH regulations and follow all health and safety rules and regulations. 
to maintain a high standard of personal and general cleanliness and hygiene to comply with statutory and school regulations.

Learning Support Assistant

Fixed term contract initially until 31st August 2020

Band 2, Point 3 Actual salary £11,603

Hours are 28.75 per week, Monday to Friday, 8.45am - 3.30pm

KITCHEN/MIDDAY ASSISTANT (10 hrs per week)

An opportunity has arisen for a kitchen/midday assistant to join our busy catering team. Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided
KITCHEN DUTIES
• all general cleaning duties, including all equipment and machines;
• basic cooking of food, preparing and making salads, sandwiches etc;
• serving from the counter;
• ability to work on own initiative manning our sixth form coffee shop if required;
• being responsible for temperatures of food, fridges, freezers;
• checking orders;
• handling money from cash machines;
• making sure stock is in rotation;
• filling vending machines;
MIDDAY DUTIES
• setting out of tables for lunch and then putting them away at the end of service;
• preparing and setting out water jugs and cups ready for students;
• supervise the students in the queue and manage them as they move around the diner;
• ensure the tables are kept clear and clean;
• sweeping the dining areas at the end of service;
• support and monitor students during lunch services;

TEACHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

Great Baddow High School is looking to recruit graduates for our highly successful Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme.

Working with other local Essex schools, candidates will receive excellent training from experienced staff working in association with local training providers.
