All Year 11 students have been issued with a day by day programme which can be accessed via the noticeboard in Edulink. Please remember there is no study leave and students are required to attend school throughout their GCSE examination period following their normal timetables (including tutor session) except when they are in an exam or timetables revision session.

This structured approach with targeted revision activities has been proven to have had a significant sustained impact in raising student achievement over several years. School uniform, attendance and behaviour policies will apply.
We wish every success to each and every one of our students.

Additional Information
The Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) have designated Wednesday 26th June, 2019 as a ‘Contingency Day’ for examinations.  Please be reminded that examination candidates must remain available until Wednesday 26th June, 2019 should an Awarding Body need to invoke its Contingency Plan.

Announcements

Dangerous or inconsiderate cycling

All cyclists should be encouraged to wear cycle helmets although the school cannot enforce this rule and we rely on parental influence. Students have been told to cycle safely and considerately. They should not cycle on school site when arriving or leaving: in the morning the drive way is busy and after school buses and heavy traffic obscure cyclists’ view when coming onto the road, so pushing their bikes up to this point reduces the chances of an accident or a driver needing to swerve or brake suddenly.  Students must not give each other rides on their bikes as this is also potentially dangerous and increases drivers’ anxiety about likely accidents.

Students have been told about the sanctions they would receive should they ignore these instructions. We hope that we will have parental support with these actions, all of which are designed to keep children safe and reduce the risk of them becoming involved in any antisocial or otherwise unacceptable behaviour.
