The Year 12 and 13 German A Level students went to London with Mrs Fox and Mrs Leinemann to be part of an intensive study day at the British Film Institute.

The morning was a seminar conducted in German to analyse how the former East Germany was portrayed in German film. This study directly relates to the essays they write in their German A Level.

Our students found the cinematic vocabulary in German extremely useful, they also took the microphone and contributed their ideas in German to the whole auditorium.

In the afternoon they had the opportunity to watch their study film on a full IMAX screen, with comfy chairs and popcorn of course.
