Welcome to Great Baddow High School: a happy and successful 11 - 18 school benefiting from a large site and excellent specialist accommodation.
We hope that this website gives you an insight into the life and work of the school and provides useful information. However, whether you are a prospective parent or are considering applying for a job, I strongly encourage you to visit us during the working day in order to gain a proper understanding of the school. We will be delighted to show you around so that you can see students and teachers working together in well equipped classrooms, using modern technology and resources and enjoying outstanding facilities.
Our curriculum is broad and varied and provides opportunities for all learners to achieve; we pride ourselves on balancing modern approaches and technologies with traditional values.
Large proportions of our students stay on to join the Sixth Form and are joined by students from elsewhere. We have a very good sixth form centre and our sixth formers make a valuable contribution to the life of the school.
Great Baddow High School is a specialist sports college and is a centre of excellence for the region. Our sports facilities include an indoor pool and a new dance studio. Our students enjoy sporting success at district and national level and they benefit from a vast number of extra curricular opportunities both in sport and many other areas.
