Despite the unprecedented circumstances brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic Great Baddow High School students were able to celebrate a superb set of GCSE results.

I would like to congratulate all the students for what they have achieved, the tremendous efforts and hard work they have put in and I wish them every success as they progress onto the next stage of their education.

In-line with all Mid-Essex secondary schools, we adopted a meticulous approach toward the Teacher Assessed Grades in which students undertook assessments in school to support the process.

Thankfully, our students are now able to celebrate, as their GCSE, Btec and level 2 grades will allow them to take up sixth form or college opportunities.

All our students have real cause for celebration, and I would like to highlight the following individuals for their outstanding attainment and progress: -

Freddie T - 7 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s, a Grade 7 and a Distinction*,

Kayleigh D - 8 Grade 9s, a Grade 8 and a Distinction

Jessica S - 5 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s and a Distinction*

Charlie H - 7 Grade 9s, 1 Grade 8, a Grade 4 and a Distinction*,

Evie S - 6 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s, a Grade 7 and a Distinction*,

Mollie B - 5 Grade 9s, 5 Grade 8s and a Distinction*

Jess V - 6 Grade 9s, 2 Grade 8s a Grade 7 and a Distinction*,

Also, for making outstanding progress we would like to recognise: -

Fatima R, Eryn M, Sophie H, Callum W and Henry L

Outstanding academic achievement combined with high levels of sporting success is a feature that we are very proud of at Great Baddow High School. A shining example of this is May B who recently won five gold medals at the National Festival of Swimming held at the London Aquatics Centre and achieved one Grade 9s, six Grade 8s and three Grade 7s in her GCSEs.

Congratulations again to all our students and a huge thank you to our wonderful team of staff for everything they have done to support our students this year.
